Lumos App is a social networking application, including mobile apps, mini-programs, and quick apps (hereinafter referred to as "Lumos App"). We provide you with functions such as "Chatting with AI Characters" and "Creating AI Characters" through Lumos App, and may also provide you with other products and/or services now or in the future (hereinafter referred to as "Lumos Products or Services" or "this Product or Service", for details, please refer to the Definition of Key Terms). We have formulated this "Lumos App Personal Information Protection Policy" (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, aiming to protect the security of your personal information.
This Policy applies to all Lumos Products and/or Services. This Policy explains to you the purposes, methods, scope, retention periods and information security protection measures for processing your personal information in the course of providing Lumos Products or Services, as well as the methods and procedures for you to exercise your legal rights. Please note that Lumos does not use Cookies or other similar technologies to track your personal information. Please read this Policy carefully in conjunction with the "Lumos App User Service Agreement", and use Lumos Products and/or Services only if you agree to the terms of this Policy.
The following are our special reminders for your key attention:
1. Regarding sensitive personal information. Before you provide us with any sensitive personal information, you have carefully considered and confirmed that such provision is appropriate, and you hereby agree that your sensitive personal information may be processed for the purposes and in the manner described in this Policy.
2. Your rights to personal information include but are not limited to inquiry, copy, correction, supplementation, deletion, account cancellation, withdrawal of authorization, requesting us to explain this Policy and obtaining timely responses, etc., to ensure your control over personal information.
3. We will strictly process your personal information in accordance with this Policy and your consent. If you do not agree to this Policy, you shall stop using Lumos Products and/or Services.
4. Please understand that after the update of Lumos App, if you are under the age of 18, please do not register and use Lumos App.
This Privacy Policy will help you understand the following contents:
1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
We will collect and use your personal information in accordance with the principles of legality, legitimacy, necessity and good faith, and for the purposes described in this Policy. If we use your personal information for other purposes not specified in this Policy, or collect your personal information for other specific purposes, we will inform you in a reasonable manner and obtain your consent again before use.
1.1 Personal Information You Voluntarily Provide in the Course of Us Providing Products and/or Services to You
1.1.1 To realize the basic business functions, we need to collect the following personal information from you. If you refuse to provide such information, we will not be able to provide you with the corresponding services. Please note: If the information you provide does not belong to you, please ensure that you have obtained the authorization and consent of the relevant subject.
(1) Account Registration, Login and Verification
When you register a Lumos account in Lumos App, you need to provide us with the following information to complete the registration:
1) Your email address and email verification code: We will send an email verification code based on the email address you provide to verify your identity. If you do not provide the received email verification code, the registration will fail and you will not be able to register and use this Product and/or Service. Please note that the email address you provide will be used as your user account for subsequent use of Lumos App, and also as the identity credential for logging in to this Product.
2) Password information: You can set a login password for this account. This information is not mandatory to provide, and you have the right to choose "email + password" login or login only through email verification code.
3) Third-party user information: If you choose to log in with a third-party account, you agree that we will collect your WeChat nickname and avatar, or Apple username and email address according to your choice.
4) Date of birth: We will judge your age based on the date of birth you provide. If you are under the age of 18, or do not provide the date of birth information during registration, you will not be able to register as our user and use this Product and/or Service.
5) Gender and nickname: We will provide you with AI character matching service based on the gender information you provide. If you do not provide such information, the registration will fail and you will not be able to register and use this Product and/or Service.
After you provide the above information to complete the registration and obtain a Lumos account, you are deemed to have successfully logged in to Lumos App and remain logged in at all times. To protect the security of your account, you agree that we will process your account information for risk control purposes. In addition, to facilitate the public to exercise supervision based on public interests, you understand and agree that we will display the attribution information of the Internet Protocol (IP) address on your account homepage, displaying the corresponding provincial information in China and the corresponding country (region) information outside China, with the information based on the data of network operators. This information will not disclose your detailed address, please rest assured.
If you need to log out and log in again, you need to enter the login password set during registration or choose to receive an email verification code to complete the login after entering your email address. You can also choose the one-click login method. For details of personal information collected under this method, please refer to Section 1.4 of this Policy.
(5) Functions of Publishing, Browsing and Liking Information Content
When you publish an AI character, you need to provide us with the text information you publish/send, and the pictures, audio and videos you upload. We will review the legality and compliance of the above content and retain these contents as evidence when users file complaints and reports. If you do not wish to provide the above information, you will not be able to use the relevant functions.
(6) Chat and Matching Functions
You can communicate with AI characters through the matching and "Chat" functions provided by Lumos App, and you can choose text chat or voice chat according to different chat scenarios, and upload pictures, audio and videos as needed.
Please understand that in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws and regulations, we will review the legality and compliance of the text information you publish/send and the pictures, audio and videos you upload, and retain these contents as evidence when users file complaints and reports. If you do not wish to provide the above information, you will not be able to use the corresponding functions. At the same time, you acknowledge that in addition to reviewing the legality and compliance of the text information you publish/send and the pictures, audio and videos you upload, we will also extract keyword information.
Special reminder: If the content you upload in the "Character Creation" and "Chat" functions of Lumos App contains other people's personal information, please ensure that you have obtained the authorization and consent of the personal information subject.
(7) Personalized Push and Matching
Personalized matching and recommendation is one of the core features of Lumos App. To provide you with better quality services that meet your needs and enhance your user experience, to the extent permitted by laws and regulations, we may conduct data analysis and comprehensive statistics based on the personal information you voluntarily provide, the information provided by partners with your consent, and the personal information we actively collect, and analyze user characteristics and preferences through specific algorithms to form user portraits, so as to display or provide you with information that you may be interested in and that meets your actual needs, or push specific functions and/or services that are more suitable for you, as follows:
1) Personalized content: To display, recommend or push graphic and video content, "AI Character" topic intelligent auxiliary chat content that you may be interested in, provide search results, and recommend goods and services, we will use your basic information provided during registration (including age/birthday, gender, location), behavior data generated during your use of the service (including registration time, AI characters, user interaction records, network logs), consumption situation and device information to form user attribute classification, and adopt different content display strategies for users with different attributes.
2) Personalized advertising: To display, recommend or push advertisements with higher matching degree to your preferences, we will use your basic information provided during registration (including age/birthday, gender, location, time zone, tags), behavior data generated during your use of the service (including ad clicks, conversion situation, network logs), device information and network type to form user feature tags, and automatically deliver advertisements to relevant user groups through the system according to the target group type specified by advertisers.
3) Personalized matching: To display, recommend or push users with higher relevance to you in the "User Matching" function (such as constellation matching, etc.), we will use your basic information provided during registration (including age/birthday, gender, location, signature), behavior data generated during your use of the service (including "AI Characters", user interaction, matching records, network logs), consumption situation and device information to form user portraits, and provide you with suitable chat characters with similar hobbies.
(8) Search Function
When you use the "Search" function of this Product and/or Service, you need to provide us with the keyword information you input to display the required content and search history records for you. You can choose to delete the historical search records. If you do not wish to provide the above information, please do not use the search function.
(9) Feedback
If you have any feedback on this Product and/or Service, you can submit it through "Me" - "Settings" - "Feedback/Problem Reporting" in Lumos App. You need to provide a description of the opinion and upload proof photos to help us understand the problem and formulate a solution. To respond to your opinion in a timely manner, you need to provide an email address to facilitate us to contact you.
1.2 Personal Information We Actively Collect in the Course of Providing Products and/or Services to You
On the premise of complying with laws and regulations, to ensure the security of your account and provide better services, we will collect and use the following information generated during your use of Lumos Products and/or Services:
1.2.1 Device Information
To adapt Lumos App to your mobile device, provide a safe and credible product and usage environment, and ensure the safe operation of Lumos App, when you use Lumos App, according to the specific permissions you grant during software installation and use, we will collect your device model, device identifiers (including IMEI/Android ID /IDFA/IDFV/OPEN UDID/GUID/OAID/SN ID/MEID, advertising ID, SIM card number, IMSI, ICCID), software list, device operation status information, system version, MCC, MNC, Mac address information (including network Mac address and Bluetooth Mac address), device sensor information, external virtual keyboard identification, and running process information. Collecting this information is to help us carry out security protection work such as bug analysis, anti-fraud and anti-black industry, ensure your normal use of this Product and/or Service, improve and optimize the product experience, and ensure the security of your account. Except as otherwise expressly agreed in this Policy, we will not provide your device information to any third party. However, we cannot guarantee that other third parties will not obtain your device information through other channels and combine your device information with other information to identify your personal identity. For any losses caused thereby, you shall claim compensation from such third parties. The above device information is basic information necessary for providing services. If you do not wish us to collect the above device information, it may result in our inability to provide you with normal services.
Please note that to help us carry out security protection work such as bug analysis, anti-fraud and anti-black industry, ensure your normal use of this Product and/or Service, improve and optimize the product experience, and ensure the security of your account, when your Lumos App is switched to the background or in a silent state, we will collect your Mac address information (including network Mac address and Bluetooth Mac address) and IMEI.
1.2.2 Log Information
When you use Lumos Products and/or Services, we will collect your relevant network log information, including App crash information, system activity information, device network connection status, browsing records, click records, software usage records and IP address information. We collect the above information to better carry out security maintenance and optimize this Product and/or Service, and enhance your user experience. The above log information is basic information necessary for providing services. If you do not wish us to collect the above log information, it may result in our inability to provide you with normal services.
1.2.3 Geolocation Information
When you agree to enable the location permission, we will collect your geolocation information to display the geolocation when you create an AI character or match you with characters created by nearby users. If you refuse us to collect such information, the aforementioned relevant functions will not work normally, but it will not affect your use of other functions of Lumos App.
To protect your legitimate rights and interests (combating black industry and preventing fraud) and maintain the safe operation of this Product and/or Service, we will collect the base station information (including base station status, LAC, BID, NID, SID, signal strength) and WIFI information (including BSSID, SSID, signal strength) connected by your device.
1.2.4 Consumption Record Information
When you use the third-party payment function provided by this Product for recharge and consumption, we will collect and save your recharge records, consumption records, order information and reconciliation information to confirm your payment instructions and assist you in completing the payment. At the same time, such information will also be used as a voucher for your recharge and consumption.
1.2.5 Clipboard Information
When you use Lumos Products and/or Services, we will use the clipboard function of your device and read the clipboard content to achieve the following functions: after you write the link or sharing code generated by sharing a specific activity into the clipboard, opening Lumos App will automatically jump to the corresponding activity content for your convenient browsing of activity information. At the same time, we will also read your clipboard information for risk control purposes.
1.3 System Permissions Invoked by Lumos App
As mentioned above, to provide you with Lumos Products and/or Services, we may need to use the system permissions of your device (excluding permissions invoked by third-party access) to collect relevant personal information. This section summarizes all system permissions used by Lumos App to present them to you in a systematic, complete and transparent manner. You can choose whether to authorize us to use the relevant permissions. If you do not authorize, some services may not be available, but it will not affect your use of other functions of Lumos App.
1.3.1 Photo Album and Storage Permission
When you agree to enable this permission, we will use the photo album reading and storage function of your device. This function is used for you to upload text, images, videos and other content in the device, and can also cache the text, images, videos and other content generated during your use of Lumos Products and/or Services. Please note that we will not automatically read the stored content of your local photo album, and will only obtain the picture/video data after you agree to enable this permission and actively select the corresponding picture in the photo album. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned functions will not work normally.
1.3.2 Microphone Permission
When you agree to enable this permission, we will use the microphone function of your device and identify the voice information you upload. This permission is used for voice sending in chat and audio/video chat functions. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned functions will not be available.
1.3.3 Message Push Permission
When you agree to enable this permission, we will push messages to you for your timely receipt and understanding of the notifications we send. If you refuse this authorization, you will not be able to receive the messages we push to you.
1.3.4 Camera Permission
When you agree to enable this permission, we will use the camera shooting function of your device. This function is used to realize the functions of taking photos and recording videos, and collect and identify the picture and video information taken or recorded in the process of realizing the above functions. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned functions will not be available.
1.3.5 Device Information Access Permission
When you agree to enable this permission, to protect the security of your account and login, we will collect your corresponding device information for optimizing user experience, security investigation, identifying frequently used devices and device binding status.
1.3.6 Access Network and Obtain Network Status Permission
When you agree to enable this permission, our APP can connect to the network. At the same time, for the purpose of risk control and providing services, we can also monitor network changes and prompt you of the current network environment. Your refusal of this authorization will result in the inability to normally use this Product and/or Service.
1.4 Personal Information of Yours We Obtain from Third Parties
We may collect and use your personal information from third parties (our partners) within the scope of your consent. We guarantee to process your personal information in accordance with the contracts signed with third parties and relevant laws and regulations. At the same time, please carefully read the personal information protection policy and user agreement of such third parties. If you refuse third parties to collect and use your personal information when providing services, it may result in your inability to use some Lumos Products and/or Services.
1.5 Exceptions to Obtaining Consent
In accordance with laws and regulations, we do not need to obtain your consent to collect and use your personal information in the following circumstances:
(1) It is necessary for the conclusion and performance of a contract in which the individual is a party;
(2) It is necessary for the performance of statutory duties or obligations;
(3) It is necessary to respond to sudden public health incidents, or to protect the life, health and property safety of natural persons in emergency situations;
(4) It is necessary for the implementation of news reporting, public opinion supervision and other behaviors for the public interest, and processing personal information within a reasonable scope;
(5) Processing personal information that is voluntarily disclosed by the individual or otherwise legally publicly available within a reasonable scope in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law;
(6) Other circumstances stipulated by laws and administrative regulations.
2. How We Entrust the Processing, Share, Transfer and Disclose Your Personal Information
2.1 Entrusted Processing
To provide you with more complete and high-quality products and services, certain functions may be provided by our technical service partners, and we may entrust partners to process some of your personal information. For the companies, organizations and individuals to whom we entrust the processing of your personal information, we will clearly require the partners in the cooperation agreement to process your personal information only in accordance with our requirements, the provisions of this Policy and other relevant confidentiality and security measures, and supervise their personal information processing activities. We will entrust third-party SDK providers that provide technical services to process your personal information. Such third-party providers will process your personal information when you use Lumos App, or when you switch Lumos App to the background or in a silent state, as needed.
2.2 Sharing
We will not share your personal information with any third-party companies, organizations and individuals except in one or more of the following circumstances:
(1) Based on your own request, or with your prior express authorization or consent;
(2) Related to our performance of obligations stipulated by laws and regulations;
(3) Directly related to national security and national defense security;
(4) Directly related to public safety, public health and major public interests;
(5) Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments;
(6) For the purpose of safeguarding the major legitimate rights and interests of you or other individuals, but it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person;
(7) Personal information that you voluntarily disclose to the public;
(8) Collecting personal information from legally publicly disclosed information, such as through legitimate news reports, government information disclosure and other channels;
(9) Sharing with partners: To provide you with more complete and high-quality products and services, certain of our services will be provided by partners. We may share some of your personal information with partners to provide better customer service and user experience. We will only share your personal information for legal, legitimate, necessary, specific and clear purposes, and only share the personal information necessary for providing services. We will take reasonable security control measures for the software development kit (SDK) and application programming interface (API) through which partners obtain information to protect data security. At the same time, we will clearly require them to comply with relevant laws and regulations and protect and process your personal information in the cooperation agreements signed with partners;
(10) Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.
Please note: You can actively disclose and share relevant information to third-party platforms (such as WeChat friends/Moments/QQ, etc.) through the functions provided by Lumos Products or Services. In this case, the shared information will be spread immediately and widely. Once you carry out such information sharing, it is difficult to ensure that the shared information is completely deleted on all Internet platforms that receive the forwarding when you need to delete the information. In some cases, even if you delete the shared information from Lumos Products or Services, such information may still remain in the publicly accessible field, and may still be independently cached, copied or stored by other users or third parties unrelated to us and not under our control, and preserved in the publicly accessible field by other users or such third parties.
2.3 Transfer
In principle, we will not transfer the control right of your personal information to other companies, organizations and individuals, except in the following cases:
(1) Based on your own request, or with your prior express consent or authorization;
(2) Related to our performance of obligations stipulated by laws and regulations;
(3) Directly related to national security and national defense security;
(4) Directly related to public safety, public health and major public interests;
(5) Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments;
(6) For the purpose of safeguarding the major legitimate rights and interests of you or other individuals, but it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person;
(7) Personal information that you voluntarily disclose to the public;
(8) Collecting personal information from legally publicly disclosed information, such as through legitimate news reports, government information disclosure and other channels;
(9) Transfer in the event of company merger, acquisition or bankruptcy liquidation and change of operating entity.
Please note: If it is really necessary to transfer due to the above reasons, we will inform you of the name or title of the recipient, contact information, processing purpose, processing method and type of personal information before the transfer, and transfer only after obtaining your consent, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations.
2.4 Public Disclosure
In principle, we will not publish your personal information to the society or an unspecified group of people, except in the following cases:
(1) Based on the agreement with you;
(2) Disclosure that shall be made in accordance with laws and regulations.
3. How You Can Manage Your Personal Information
3.1 Inquire/Copy or Correct/Supplement Your Personal Information
If your account is in normal use status, you have the right to log in and access your Lumos account at any time to inquire about your personal information, including account information, personal data, published AI characters, etc. If you find that the personal information we process about you is inaccurate or incomplete, or in other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations, you can correct and supplement your personal information. You can exercise such rights through the following paths:
(1) You can inquire about, correct or supplement your nickname, avatar, background image and other information by clicking "Me";
(2) You can inquire about, correct or supplement your personal information such as nickname, gender, avatar and background by clicking "Me - Edit Profile";
(3) You can access the characters you published and the character drafts you created by clicking "Me";
If you cannot exercise the corresponding rights through the above paths, you can contact us through the contact information provided in Article 8 of this Policy. We will respond to your request in a timely manner after verifying your identity, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations or this Policy.
3.2 Delete Your Personal Information
You may request us to delete your personal information in the following circumstances, except where personal information has been anonymized or otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations:
(1) We collect, store, use, transfer or disclose your personal information in violation of the provisions of laws, administrative regulations or the agreement with you;
(2) We collect, store, use, transfer or disclose your personal information beyond the scope of purpose or necessary period;
(3) You terminate the use of Lumos Products or Services by means of cancellation or withdraw your consent;
(4) Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.
If the above conditions are met, if you wish to delete your personal information, you can contact us through the contact information provided in Article 8 of this Policy. We will respond to your request in a timely manner after verifying your identity, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations or this Policy.
Please note that you hereby agree that once the deletion request is responded to, your personal information will be deleted or anonymized, unless otherwise stipulated by laws, regulations or normative documents.
Please note that we may not immediately delete the responded information from the backup system, but will delete it when the backup system is updated.
3.3 Change the Scope of Your Authorization Consent
Please note that to enable you to normally use Lumos Products or Services, you need to enable the relevant permissions of your device or provide basic personal information to us. If you wish to close the device permissions in Section 1.3 above, you can operate through the settings page of your device. If you wish to withdraw the prior authorization for the corresponding functions in Lumos Products or Services, you can perform the corresponding operations through the settings page of Lumos or the settings page of your device.
When you change the scope of consent, we will no longer collect and use your corresponding personal information, but at the same time, please understand that we will no longer be able to provide you with the corresponding products or services. You hereby agree that your act of changing the scope of authorization consent or withdrawing authorization consent will not affect our processing of your personal information based on your prior authorization consent.
3.4 Cancel Your Account
You can request us to cancel your registered Lumos account by clicking "Me" - "Settings" - "Account and Security" - "Cancel Account". We will cancel your account after verifying your personal identity information and confirming that you meet the cancellation conditions.
Please note that after canceling your account, unless it is required to retain or store your personal information in accordance with laws and regulations or the requirements of regulatory authorities, we will promptly delete your personal information or anonymize it. We may not immediately delete such information from the backup system, but will delete it when the backup system is updated.
Your account cancellation is irreversible. Once the account is canceled, we will no longer collect your personal information, but at the same time, please understand that we will no longer be able to provide you with the corresponding products and/or services. Therefore, we recommend that you carefully choose to cancel your account.
3.5 Refuse Automated Decision-Making
In the course of your use of this Product and/or Service, we will make decisions based on non-manual automated decision-making mechanisms such as information systems and algorithms. If you believe that these decisions significantly affect your legitimate rights and interests, you have the right to request us to make an explanation.
3.6 Rights of Close Relatives
Under the circumstances stipulated by law, your close relatives may exercise the above rights of inquiry, copy, correction, deletion, etc. with respect to your relevant personal information, unless you have other arrangements.
3.7 Respond to the Above Requests of Yours
In principle, we will not charge fees for your reasonable requests. We may refuse requests that are not directly related to your identity, unnecessarily repetitive, or require excessive technical means (for example, developing new systems or fundamentally changing current practices), pose risks to the legitimate rights and interests of others, or are impractical.

4. How We Store Your Personal Information
We will store your personal information collected and generated in operation in our overseas data centers, unless cross-border transmission is permitted by applicable laws.
We promise that unless otherwise required by laws and regulations, or you request us to delete personal information in accordance with the law, the storage period of your personal information by us will be limited to the shortest time necessary to achieve the purpose of your authorized use.
5. How We Protect Your Personal Information
We attach great importance to the security of your personal information. For this reason, we have adopted security technical measures in line with industry standards, as well as multi-level protection measures such as supporting organizational structure and management system, to prevent your personal information from being leaked, damaged, misused, unauthorized accessed, unauthorized disclosed or altered to the greatest extent possible, including the following:
5.1 Data Security Measures
In terms of secure data transmission, we have adopted cryptographic technologies such as transport layer security protocol, prevented eavesdropping and interception of transmission links through Https and other methods, established a secure private data environment, and ensured the confidentiality and integrity of data; we also use Token technology to protect the security during data transmission, and adopt proper protection mechanisms to prevent data from being maliciously attacked; in addition, we will take additional security protection measures such as encrypted storage for your information.
In terms of security control of data access and use, we have implemented a strict data access control mechanism to monitor the behavior of processing your personal information and avoid unauthorized access and use of data. We will regularly conduct security scans on all interfaces of this Product, and take protective measures such as preventing malicious code and traffic attacks to prevent your personal information from being unauthorized accessed, publicly disclosed, used, modified, artificially or accidentally damaged or lost.
To protect the security of your information, if the user's personal information is incorrect, this Product will access, correct or delete the relevant information according to the user's request after strictly verifying and confirming the user's identity (unless Lumos must retain such personal information for legitimate reasons).
We will take all reasonably feasible measures to ensure that irrelevant personal information is not collected. We will only retain your personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy, unless the retention period is extended within the scope permitted by law.
5.2 Data Security Organization and Management Measures
In accordance with the requirements of relevant regulations, we have set up a special department responsible for personal information protection and appointed a person in charge of personal information protection. We have also established relevant internal control management processes, and on the principle of least privilege, strictly set information access permissions for staff who may have access to your personal information to control the scope of knowledge of personal information.
We have established internal standard systems for the safe use of data to ensure that the processing of your personal information meets the security requirements of laws and regulations in all links such as collection, transmission, use, storage, transfer and destruction. In accordance with the requirements of relevant regulations, for staff who need to access personal information, we will require them to obtain the approval of the person in charge of personal information protection or his authorized manager, record the access situation, and take technical measures to avoid illegal copying and downloading of personal information.
We organize employees to participate in training related to security and privacy protection, and require them to complete the specified assessment to strengthen employees' awareness of the importance of protecting personal information.
5.3 Security Incident Handling
To respond to potential risks such as personal information leakage, damage and loss, we have established a special emergency response team. In accordance with the company's security incident handling specifications, we will activate security plans for different security incidents to stop losses, analyze, formulate remedial measures, and jointly trace and crack down with relevant departments. At the same time, in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations, we will promptly inform you of: the basic situation and possible impact of the security incident, the disposal measures we have taken or will take, the suggestions for you to independently prevent and reduce risks, and the remedial measures for you.
